ORAL POSTURE TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oral Posture website and your interaction with
Oral Posture through our website, forms, scheduling systems, and related online services. By using our
website or requesting services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. About Oral Posture
Oral Posture provides Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and related educational and functional services.
Services may include evaluation, therapy, education, breathing and oral-function assessment, and care
coordination, as appropriate to the patient.
Services are individualized. Information on the website is general educational information and is not a
substitute for an individualized evaluation or medical diagnosis.
2. No Emergency or Medical Advice
Oral Posture is not an emergency medical service. Do not use the website, email, telehealth messaging, or
other online communications for emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or seek
immediate emergency medical care.
Information provided through the website is educational and should not be interpreted as a diagnosis,
guarantee, or recommendation that a particular treatment is appropriate for you or your child.
3. Initial Assessments and Treatment
An initial assessment is used to understand the patient’s history, symptoms, oral function, breathing patterns,
and other relevant factors and to develop individualized recommendations.
Recommendations may include therapy, home exercises, coordination with other health professionals, or
referral for additional evaluation. Oral Posture does not guarantee any particular outcome.
4. Telehealth
Telehealth may be available when clinically appropriate. Telehealth services depend on technology, patient
participation, clinical appropriateness, and applicable licensing and telehealth laws.
Technical interruptions may occur. If a telehealth connection is inadequate or the clinician determines that an
in-person evaluation is necessary, the appointment may need to be rescheduled or an alternative
arrangement made.

5. Scheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows
Appointments are reserved specifically for the patient. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need
to cancel or reschedule.
Oral Posture’s current cancellation and no-show policy, including any applicable fees, will be provided at
scheduling and in the patient financial agreement. The current signed financial agreement governs if it differs
from these general Terms.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees for assessments and therapy are provided before or at scheduling and may change over time. Payment is
due according to the practice’s current financial policies.
Oral Posture is an out-of-network practice unless otherwise expressly stated. Patients are responsible for
payment regardless of whether an insurance company reimburses any portion of the services. When
appropriate, Oral Posture may provide a superbill or receipt for the patient to submit to an insurer.
7. Insurance and Reimbursement
Oral Posture does not guarantee insurance coverage, reimbursement, or eligibility. Insurance policies differ,
and patients are responsible for confirming benefits and requirements directly with their insurer.
8. Patient Responsibilities
Patients and parents/guardians are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, informing
Oral Posture of relevant changes in health or medications, following agreed-upon home recommendations,
attending scheduled appointments, and communicating concerns or changes in symptoms.
For minors, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing appropriate consent and participating in
care as requested.
9. Referrals and Collaboration
With appropriate authorization and when clinically appropriate, Oral Posture may communicate with
physicians, dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical
therapists, and other professionals involved in a patient’s care.
Referral or coordination does not guarantee that another provider will recommend or provide a particular
treatment.
10. Website Content
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that
all content is complete, current, or error-free.
Educational content may describe emerging research or clinical concepts. Individual results vary, and
information should not be interpreted as a promise of treatment effectiveness.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, website content—including text, graphics, logos, educational materials,
photographs, videos, and other original materials—is owned by or licensed to Oral Posture and is protected by
applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view and use website materials for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce,
modify, distribute, sell, publish, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
12. User Submissions
If you submit information through a website form, testimonial, review request, or other communication, you
represent that the information is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it. Patient testimonials,
photographs, or other identifiable information will not be used for marketing without appropriate permission
or authorization when required.
